Desert Son Shine Preschool is now hiring Full/Part time Preschool teachers for next school year!
$9.00-10/hour no benefits

We are most interested in applicants that have:
6 Months experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
Coursework or a degree in early childhood education or child development or a CDA.
Exemplary references and a proven track record of caring and nurturing children.
The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
Flexibility as to the preschool hours and calendar.

Required skills:
Excellent team player.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledgeable of the operation of standard office equipment.
Must obtain an AZ Fingerprint Clearance card.
Must have completed Red Cross First Aid Training and have a current CPR certification.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Have a relationship with Jesus Christ and utilize prayer as the key to ministry.
Encourage, inspire and nurture preschool children and their families in the love of Jesus.
Primary duty of the teaching of young children between the ages of three and five.
Overseeing the the day-to-day operations of the preschool classroom.
Develop and implement a developmentally based, educational program for the preschool. The curriculum must meet the emotional, physical, cognitive, and social needs of both the individual child and the group.
Provide the children with an environment that is both caring and safe where they can grow and learn.
Provide behavior management and discipline under the supervision of the center’s behavior management plan.
Prepare lesson plans for the children on a weekly basis. Prepare creative activities that the children can participate in. Prepare games and outdoor activities the children can engage in.
Promote early education and literacy. Read books to the children. Demonstrate learning activities to the kids.
Attend to the basic needs of the children such as dressing and feeding. Teach the children proper hygiene.
Adapt the available teaching methods to meet the interest and needs of the children.
Keep abreast of current research through professional periodicals, professional development and conferences.
